mobo with dual LAN as router?

if i get the p5k premium/wifi, would i need to buy a wireless router? for example, if i connect the cable modem to a USB port on this mobo, can i share internet connection to two other desktops from the two ethernet ports and share internet to all the laptops from the mobo's wifi?

then what is the purpose of mobos with multiple LAN ports? the new gigabyte p45 will have 6 LAN ports. so if i put the mobo's wifi on infrastructure instead of ad-hoc, i'll still need a router to share internet connection?

I never knew that i would have to some more research....

You can set up internet connection sharing although I've never tried it in the manner you're asking.
You can use one LAN port as the main connection to the cable modem and the other LAN port, in conjunction with a switch, for the other two desktops.
Just set up the p5k PC to share it's internet connection.

It might be easier to just buy a router.

here are the specs to the mobo:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131190

first, connect the cable to modem to the mobo by USB
2nd, connect two more destops to this mobo by ethernet
3rd, put the mobo's wifi on infrastructure mode to share wireless internet connection

this would work to share internet to two more desktops and several other laptops wouldn't it?

That only has 2 lan ports.... i think it would be easier to buy a router.
