New p45 Mb supports 16gb ram memory?

Can vista support this? Is there any reason to need this much memory?

most people don't even need 4gb

unless your doing something really demanding in RAM

64bit vista will support.
Currently 16GB RAM is not needed.
I do suggest to get the cheaper P43 chipset instead.

exactly, 64 bit ultimate supports up to 128gb of ram, the motherboard i saw closest to this was a serverboard is 16 slots for ram :S

Just faster specifications, bus speeds for example. They have also added more i/o components.

Google their specifications to compare them against each other.

The only reason I can think you would need that much ram is for MAJOR multitasking with like 10 monitors or doing multiple virtual machines.
