I've been out of the loop for a few years so please excuse my ignorance of what has been going on in the hardware division, so I don't know which company is doing better this time around.
I'm looking at these two processors for a new build.
AMD Athlon 64 X2 4800+ Brisbane

Intel Pentium E2200 Allendale
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116063
Going through the specs, they look identical except for the Athlon being 0.3 GHz faster and coming in at around $20 less. Does the Pentium run at sub-zero temperatures, have some hidden secret that justifies the speed loss and higher cost, or is this just Intel jacking prices up again?
