i didn't want to spend too much on a power supply, since i don't think it's too important. I mean, if you have enough power, then ur good right?

i'm going to be running an 8800gts and e8400 on an ABIT IP35 PRO motherboard.

will 550W be enough?

also, i've never heard of this Rosewill company, would it to smarter to pay $50 from a more popular company?

I read the reviews, and they mostly seemed to be good.
thanks.

ooo, i just read some more of the negative reviews and they said it was kidna loud. I really don't like that.
So could someone suggest a decent psu for me to be able to run all that stuff above?

Plus, this is the first computer i'm building, and i'm a huge noob, so any tips would be nice :)

The PSU that the OP has got there looks good, it is not cheap, and they are a good PSU, why spend $150!!!!! on a PSU!

You should be happen with that PSU

i have had that rosewill power supply for about 4 months and have had no issues with it and its came down in price since then there are a total of 6 fans in my build and the power supply is not the loudest one

what is the wattage??? 550W???

That Rosewill 550W psu should suit your power needs just fine, and it isn't a crap psu either, it is a fairly reliable brand.

Most of the people stating that a specific component in their system is loud are noise freaks. Nowadays, the vast majority of components in systems are downright quiet compared to years ago. If you still are looking for something that is extremely quiet, others should be able to help you out there.

i was just posting that to say it is quiet and reliable since he seemed to be concerned about that, and that it has plenty of power even for the future.

"You should be happen with that PSU"

i don't know what you're trying to say there...
