I bought Crysis and was disappointed. The multi-player is horrible!

I will not even think about buying Crysis Warhead!

haha i know the Multiplayer is just horrible, takes you hald hour to get to where teh war is.....then you get blasted by someone in cloak mode hiding in the trees :D

ohh and to mention about 98% of the servers are not punkbuster protected so many might think great but its full of hackers.

i just didnt enjoy crysis, played it for about an hour and gave up it was just boring.,only thing i liked realy was the graphics but thats about it.

wont be buying far cry 2 either.

Wow, I just beat both Crysis and Warhead... I bought Warhead because I thought Crysis was awesome, but for some reason Crysis had lagged to hell on me in one part, so I just played through all of Warhead. After beating it, I decided to just turn down some setting and I just beat Crysis. I don't know why you wouldn't like this gameplay/story/anything... Warhead was actually really well done, a few cutscenes that added to the story and I didn't mind watching at all. If you don't like these games, then why would you like HL2 more? I love HL2, just beat epi 2 a couple weeks ago, but Warhead was better than the episodes by a long shot.

Amen to that :) ( nice to see there is people with a good taste on this forum too :p ) kidding aside, I couldnt agree more on this one.
I did really like the story of this game. I mean, Halflife, Opposing Forces and Blue Shift got praised for telling the same story from a different perspective. but when Crysis does it (also in a really well done way) its bad? not in my book. :) Im gonna play the game again today I think, this time on Delta difficulty. (that should keep me busy for a while. ^.^ )

anyways, glad to see its not only Crysis haters on this forum.:)

I put crysis in the same basket as far cry 1. its just a tech demo. sure it looks pretty and blowing stuff up is fun but in the end its the same old boring crap. I dont intend on buying warhead as i fear it will be so similar to the first game, sanding on an island shooting aliens yay!

Another example of in the end why content > graphics .Dont get me wrong I like nice graphics just as everyone else but playability ,content and a well designed game is what keeps people interested.I like old MMORPg games like Ac1 but now no one wants sand box games anymore.I have also enjoyed FPS's.Another game that does this is the Fear franchise,I guess they are milking the storyline before their writers have to come up with a new plot.Hehe kinda like how Tv shows now last for seasons on one plot that should be maybe a 2 hour movie or a few tv episode maxed, cuts down on the writing staff I guess?

Bet your pissing yourself over FEAR 2 next year...its gonna be fantastic especially after "Extraction Point" they have mastered their abilities so FEAR 2 is going to be one scary f-ing game.

I also agree I love old school games more then new ones for playability. Diablo - Diablo 2 Median 2008 mod - Baldurs Gate all simple but fun and I still play all those titles at least once a year if not 3-4.

just wondering, but do you actually play shooters then? because halflife is like standing in the middle of nowhere shooting aliens (or whatever you want to call the combine) if you give a discription like that, all shooters are "standing somewhere shooting <insert enemy group here>" games (yay :p )

what does make a good shooter, wich crysis doesnt have. I mean, if you dont like the envirement, thats a choice, doesnt make the game bad tough.
So, please everyone, if you think this game is bad, please also say why. :)
(and no, I think its just a tech showcase doesnt cut it as a reason. ;) )
Also, if you tell what you dont like, please also say what game you do like, and how that particular game deals with exacly the same problem.

now, if you want to talk about a bad shooter, go rant over "Turning Point" its the first shooter I actually didnt finnish, because i couldnt stand it anymore. If I'd played it longer I would have cried. :(

Crytek built its own machine capable of running the game "silky smooth", with "all the bells and whistles turned on". Considering that it has an 8600GT, I'll take it with a grain of salt, but Dan Stapleton confirmed in a PC Gamer Podcast thread that they absolutely did play the game on this machine, and it was running on High details.

Anyone have it? and does it run as well as Crytek claims?

Running Crysis on an 8600GT?? No way

I have an 8600GT Myself and yeah its a decent card but, no way can it run Crysis "Silky Smooth". I usually get between 20-30fps on med settings.

Thank you, Archangel! I was beginning to think I was the only person on this forum that liked Crysis. I think playing a game without hearing the hype or anything helps... I just bought Crysis because I knew I would be able to play it with my new computer, and then had a lot of fun with it. If I had read some of these threads, I probably wouldn't have bought it and would have missed out on a great game.
