Should I go from a PC to Mac?

oh abut $500 each I think, and they come standard with DVI video out so they are HDTV ready. I have two in my office hooked to my 42 inch plasma screen but I never use it. It is suppose to be used for mass remote desktop and presentation but I never have time to fuss with it, I am always fixing something that broke.

It does give us the ability though to mount a giant display from the ceiling or up on the wall and have the computer hidden and controlled by remote desktop or by network policies and not have to worry about finding space for another full desktop anywhere. Space is always a factor.

Thats interesting... thats a great use for the mac mini imo, one place where an apple system would be great to have, albeit with the introduction of the ion platform that may be more suited for just displaying stuff like videos due to its lower cost.

Minis run Core 2 Duo processors though, it doesn't use Atom processors like netbooks and other small factor computers do, so for $500 or $600 it is not a bad deal.

Especially since they are small enough to fit in a desk drawer.

Yeah, i was saying though for the really super simple stuff like presentations/slideshow displays a sff ion based would be fine, but for standard desktop use a mac mini would be at minimum what i would want;) Those things are pretty amazing ill give em that, decent horsepower and an optical drive in something that small. What would be sweet though is if apple brought back something like the cube, put a 240mm rad in the back and had the vga+cpu(quad would be sweet) watercooled and price it right around where the 21" imac is since it wouldnt include a display/keyboard/mouse, i know quite a few people who would end up purchasing a mac then(possibly even myself, i love osx but hate the un-upgradeability of the things).
