its an aftermarket zalman i think, its good quality, got it from my roommate off his am2 4800

Any idea which zalman it is? If its one of the orb style coolers they aren't that great, the tower style ones such as the 9500A or 9700 are better, none are really great but they will definately do better than the stock heatsink;)

i might not get the GPU and just keep my 2 8800GTS cuz i dont know if the solo 5770 can handle an HD TV (1920X1080) a 19" WS (1440x900) and 19" (1280x1024) smoothly

plus it will save money as im not a PC gamer and photoshop or cinema4d take advantage of video cards

anyone think the solo 5770 will do it?

5770 will run it fine as long as you arent gaming. Dual 8800GTS cards would run it fine as well probably, but with more heat dump/power consumption.

true, i'm more worried about saving money and getting this running, if i need to game i can always buy the card later on. I'll just run 2 cards not SLI as the mobo dont support it

i think that was the combo i meant to post, oops

but i just want a stable motherboard, not gonna do much overclocking

That board would be your best bet then, its not especially designed for overclocking but will allow you to overclock decently, along with Sata 6.0Gb/s and USB 3.0.

alright sounds good, looks like i'll have to over clock the memory as the board only supports 1600 in OC
