Probably not much until hardware makers transfer over. Regular usb devixes like mice, keyboards and printers don't need that high of transfer speed so I doubt you'll see anything like that come out. Its mainly for external hard drives and maybe a few others.

You get them through windows updates themselves. No separate place needed to go.

There is probably a plastic adapter on the end that converts pins to connect to laptop. Seen that all the time in older models. You just need to pull the adapter off to access pins.

Try unchecking the box where it says let app change printing preferences. Other than that, try printing an email or something. Without testing it myself, couldn't tell you what is going on but at least its properly installed now.

The driver unavailable message would explain why its not showing up. Go into programs and features and uninstall the printer if its listed there. Then go here and download this driver software and run it and see what happens...

See in that picture where it says "add a printer"? click that and see if you can add that printer to the list. I've had to do that on a clients pc once. Other than that go here and see what is listed. Your printer should be listed there. If not, that could be a reason why its not showing...

If your printer is offered then sometimes there is an option to add printer in the drop down so that it shows up. IF not, make sure that the printer if installed on your pc by going into printers and verifying it shows up.
