Hmm, it's 750watts and has 100amps total on the 4 12v rails. That's pretty damn good. Not to mention 90$, $100 with tax and shipping. If it was modular :( But, thank you very much. This psu is my #1 unless I can find something the same that is modular.

I would go with the 6870, its as good if not better than the 5850, plus its in the price range of a gtx 460.. What I steal?! Im getting one soon, having owned a 5850, i cant wait for the 6870. Ati definately has the upper hand the last couple years, in my opinion (price/performance) :eek:

fixed it, just had to reinsert the card a few times. Might be time for a new Mobo if the slot is getting worn.

You can, but it's not legal. you need custom software. Its cool if you like to us ATI cards and want that extra frame rates and better looking graphics with a cheaper nvidia card.

Also, if im not mistaken, that board you have is an AM2 board, so none of these quad cores or any ofther phemon cpus will work. If your board is an am2+ then it can take certain phenoms, NOT phenom II's. Let me know what socket your board has and I can pick one that will work with it. But...

This video card is $33 after the rebate, but less than $50 if you dont bother with the rebate. It has an hdmi port if you want to hook it up to a more modern tv/monitor for better graphics. I know you don't game but the card is capable or doing so pretty well too...

Yea, custom builds are the best. But, his cpu and memory trample yours, that would up your price a bit. He spent a little more but has less of a hassle. All he needs is to replace the gpu and he is good. His whole build is under warrenty too, I bet.
