it all depends what it is, if it's a power cable/case then i generally just go for cheapest, but i prefer known brands of all other, although at the moment i do have an ebuyer extra value psu :P

Except for that little issue of electricity not being free, thus meaning you pay whatever, and a desktop PC will cost more to run than a print server, so with the print server you may have to make a large payout to begin with, but you will save in the long term

I'd reccomend that if you are wanting ethernet really desperately that you buy a new printer with ethernet built in, I have had nothing but trouble with print servers before, I would reccomend this one...
