I couldn't go without a standard mouse. The features like clicking the scroll wheel to open up new tabs are so useful that I couldn't deal without them. I should've said that wireless is preferred but not essential. I like not having any cables looking untidy on the desk.

As above. My wireless mouse is dying a horrible death, and I'd like to get a new one. Wireless is really nice to have though it isn't all important, and it has to be comfortable for them games. I know 4/5ths of @#$%all about mice, so suggestions would be awesome. It HAS to be good quality so...

Reinstalled Metro 2033. God this game is good, though my computer struggles to run it at even 4x anti-aliasing.

another new south welshman? Awesome. Chrome is a really good browser, I think you'll really notice the difference in speed.

I would recommend 8gb. Using my computer running a Tekkit (minecraft) server and client, itunes and an internet window leaves me ~150mb free. If I allocate any less RAM it doesn't work too well. Agreed on the graphics part though.

if it was me, I'd drop the SSD to a normal mechanical, and get slower RAM to save a little money. That is of course if money is such a big issue, it looks pretty cheap anyway.

triple posts are what we like. Baked the motherboard for 10 minutes on 200 degrees. Turned it on, and got a flashing orange light instead of a solid light. Turned it off and changed some stuff. Turned it on again and it turned into a smoke machine. I think it's dead.

Looks pretty good for an amateur setup. Will you save up and then buy a bigger lens? I've found that only having an 18-55mm can really catch you out sometimes, if you're out and about and want to shoot something far away. Also, to throw another spanner in the works, if you're shooting moving...

What's your budget? If you're near Melbourne then I suggest you check out pccasegear. They've got some really nice speakers and cheap shipping. I use that site for nearly everything.
