This is probably a basic question, but are 965 chipsets in general "better" then 975? I know 975 has been out longer, but it is a higher #. Doesn't 965 tend to OC better?

Well this thread was starting to get buried... I'm shipping on the 16th of december at the earliest. I'm getting the stuff for my new build after christmas, but I need to have a computer as long as possible. If you have paypal, that is preferred.

Its probably a monitor problem. Just a hunch. But yeah, try another monitor and GPU if you have one. Aside from that, I really can't think of anything else to try. And yes, it sounds like the monitor is dead. They have 22" widescreens selling at some store today for black friday.
