    Interesting Temperature on an AMD

check if the fan is still spinning. if it is, take off the heatsink, dust it out, and reapply thermal paste. the paste is probably cooked on (happens alot)

    How do you know?(Fried CPU)

could just as easily be a bad ram stick. might as well start with the ram dance before you order a new psu (even though it'd be a great investment)

    Crysis 2

NO NO NO! a REAL gamer cares about playing games. if all you care about is maxing the GRAPHICS in games, then you are called a real POSER its like people who have a lifted truck, and all these motorsports stickers... but they dont go out and have fun in the desert/mud/ go to motocross...

How do i change this fan?

replacing the fan isnt that much work. your laptop is pretty easy to work with. just realize that the entire heatsink and fan is one piece, and you'd have to replace the whole thing. if you are up to it, order it and let us know when you get it

    gateway nv53

the discussion at hand is about DRIVERS and CRACKLING SOUNDS, not viruses. dont give advice if you have no idea what you are talking about... thanks :) anyways, to the op, dont do windows default drivers. download the one for your laptop from the website. if its an executable folder, extract...

    No wifi card

blinking curser is always pleasant. download a pendrive linux live version, put it on a flash drive, and boot to that. then see if windows detects your harddrive. with the driver issue, you have the correct drivers downloaded for it, right? you can always point device manager to them. its a...

    Upgrading CPU

you'd have to remove the bottom shell on that laptop to get to the processor. its not that much work, and if you want a different processor and can afford the change, id say go for it. if one runs cooler/faster/takes less power, its worth it

    Hey Guys, i need help.

low virtual memory would make sense with it locking up, but not with the issue powering it when you get it into windows, go to the system window with hardware, general, automatic updates tabs n whatnot go to advanced, and click the performance button. in the new window, click the advanced...

Asus GTX 470/480 to increase performance by 50% via Voltage Tweaking!

do you feel smart? changing your voltage does NOTHING to your speed. only allows you to run higher speeds if its stable you can never gain 50 percent performance from a voltage tweak. its always done by the increase of the clock, voltage tweak is just to make it stable

    HDMI vs VGA?

wrong. there are different revisions of hdmi cables that can operate higher bandwidths. you cant really use a cheap hdmi cable to be running 2560x1600 ;) also, if you are in 1080p, good luck getting your tv to go higher than 60hz with a cheap hdmi cable. the more expensive ones can hit 120hz or...

Laptop lcd proplems - With pics - Help

ive never gotten to the extent of removing that piece. however, im pretty sure behind that is alot of circuitry going to the screen, and i really do not think its replaceable so, where you have to apply pressure to get it to show correctly, that spot is NOT where the ribbon cable is connecting...

    laptop screen problem

well, if you arent getting any signal from external, arent getting anything on your laptop screen... its something else. did you spill anything on your laptop? i'd start with taking one ram stick out, then swapping one at a time. sometimes there is a ram stick under the keyboard, so if they...
