Really old and we just had an post made for it the other day but yeah it's a ****ing beast. I wonder what would happen if you had two used for gaming and one used as a dedicated physx card or 2 for physx if possible ^_^

In the video title it says 8GB of RAM. Does the memory add up in SLI for just these cards?

They are Asus special edition ones. It uses two GTX 285 GPUs and each card has 4GB of memory. If you haven't heard about them yet they set a new world record with 2 of them with a benchmark of over 25,000 in 3Dmark I think. Also they maxed out far cry 2 on ultra HD resolution.

It's the Core 216 as well. Epic deal.

Idea. Buy a motherboard with 4 PCI-E slots. Buy 4 GTX 285's. Then SLI 3 and set one as a physx card. Win?

Yeah I was also looking through nvidia's site too and you can also mix same GPU cards from different distributors like an EVGA 8800GTS and a PNY 8800GTS.

So then both cards work with just one card's memory buffer? Sounds really stupid. I don't see why they can't each use their own memory buffer.

No you have to use two cards of the same model.

I definitely can't afford the extra $100 for a 285 so it's between the 280 and 275. I'm mainly concerned with performance on my monitor. Down the road I might eventually get a third so three of either would surely perform great at 1080p? How much memory is needed for 1080p?

ON newegg both cards are priced pretty evenly so I want your guys' opinion. I really need a definite answer soon as my birthday is coming up and my brother will be buying me one card and I'll buy myself the other later on. My monitor's resolution is 1680x1050 and I'll be playing on my 1080p...

I'm getting my OCZ RMA'ed. They don't make the 1010W model so they are sending me a 910W one. I'll have to see how they compare to decide if I want to take the thermaltake one back. And modular ones are usually more expensive, but I have been wanting modular one for a while.

Well my OCZ 1010W gamexstream died and I wanted a quick fix so I saw bestbuy had a sanely priced computer component for once. I picked up a Thermaltake 850W Black Widows Modular PSU for $200. It has one PCI-e 8 pin and two 6 pins. My question is do you think 850W is enough for two GTX 275's...
