I heard gimp is easier to use than photoshop elements. If I have a JPEG/PDF file how do i erase some information then add some new text?

If i scan something into JPEG or whatever, how do i then alter it? I mean erase some parts add new parts? Is it done in photoshop?

Word is an English version, but some of the characters in the size section are in Chinese. The first sizes are in Chinese then as you scroll down the usual English numbers are there. Ok so I went to format- then reveal format this showed that the language was Chinese and Portuguese (what?)...

I am back in the UK, in Japan I could upload/download all day no problem. But my mother got a worrying letter from BT for her internet usage is too high. It must me uploading/downloading too much. How do i set Utorrent to only download when I click on it.

Also how do you get a smaller/ thinner pen or eraser? (I know some people use the pen with colour setting the same as the background. I think I was using the brush. When I tried to use want I thought was the pen it keeps drawing these lines from one block to another (vectors or something)...

I moved itunes and myphotos from my C drive which is small to my E and D drive. Is it ok to just cut then paste the folder into the larger drive? Also for easy access, if it is in the E drive for example- do you just drag the folder onto the desktop then allowing if you need to upload photos...

I have three hard drives on my laptop- C,D and E. I couldn't defrag C cos there was less than 15% free space on the C drive. Is most importantto defrag the C drive? I moved itunes with all my music and myphotos from C to D and E then started to defrag. I cut and pasted them.
