Bottom mounted PSU on a dirty floor?

Those would be perfect, didn't think those even existed. It makes a lot sense that they do though. I need to buy a few small things off newegg soon anyways, so I'll add a few filters to my cart since they're so cheap. Thanks for the quick help.

Bottom mounted PSU on a dirty floor?

It already has the holes that normal fan vent would have, and a small metal mount for the PSU so its not sitting directly on the bottom of the case.

Bottom mounted PSU on a dirty floor?

I'd love to be able to put it on my desk, but its way too big. I use two monitors so there really is no space available..... at all. I'll look into those fan filters for sure, though I hope I can find some which aren't disposable and are meant to last.

Shopping for a full tower case, any budget

I just bought both of those, the case is excellent and I hear the mobo is just as good. Tons of air flow, tons of space, it looks great (Though I would have preferred a black interior), and its a pretty reasonable price (especially when you consider how many fans it comes with). One other thing...

Bottom mounted PSU on a dirty floor?

I'm using a HAF 932 case, with a XFX PSU mounted at the bottom. I installed the PSU with the intake fan (I believe the large green fan is intake) pointed towards the ground so it sucks the cool air in, instead of using hot air already inside the case. I personally prefer bottom mounted PSU's...

    RAM Thats "optimized for..."

During my last build, before my current one, I was on the market for DDR2 RAM. At the time, either there was no, or I didn't see RAM which was said to be optimized for Intel or AMD, it was just memory, with the normal specs. Now it seems like most high end memory is "optimized for i3, i5...

When Gaming, Why do people care so much about FPS?

It really depends on the game. Some games have very steady game play where FPS doesn't jump up and down, and to me, if its steady at all times at say... 40 fps, than it doesn't really concern me that much. What bothers me are games that will run at 60fps most of the time, but when things get...

    Might Need a New Mobo?

My friend just received a pair of Corsair Dominator 1866 which he bought of eBay, hes very new to computer parts... He has a DDR2 system. I told him he has three options, he can return it, upgrade his computer to DDR3, or sell it, I told him I'd buy it if he'd sell it to me for a good price...

Starting a New Build - Criticism Wanted

I added all of those to my cart, they're good picks. The only thing I would like to change is the RAM, I would like to stick to corsair. Fanboy or not, I've just had really good experiences with corsair. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145296 Would that cause any...

Starting a New Build - Criticism Wanted

I built a pretty cheap system 5 or so months ago, and decided to stick with old parts I had, because well, I couldn't afford a complete rebuild. I kept my old DDR2 RAM, which obviously meant I bought a DDR2 mobo. Thanks to the people who helped me in my other post I think I've figured out which...

    Best Value Video Card Recommendation?

If the PSU is going to be an issue I'll likely buy this: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139006 Any comments on it? I'm personally a supporter of Corsair, I've always found their products to be fantastic. 750W is more than I need, but it gives me space to upgrade...

    Best Value Video Card Recommendation?

To be honest, my PSU is the only unit in my computer which is still stock. It probably isn't amazing but up until this point its done well. If it comes down to me having to replace it, I don't have a problem replacing it. Its old, and needs to be changed soon anyways. Actually my PSU is...

    Best Value Video Card Recommendation?

Whenever I buy a video card, I always, always, always buy the wrong one. Either I buy it at a stupid store, for some ridiculous price for a bad card, or I buy from a reputable place, but I cheap out. I really need replace my current card, which I'm giving to my mom, whose currently using an...

    Laptop for school

I have an Acer (A few models up) and I can say from experience - their batteries suck. You will only reach the listed battery life if the screen is on the lowest setting, and on the lowest setting you can barely see anything (even in a pitch black room). While plugged in though, its a great...

    playstation move

If you're a video game enthusiast, and have the cash to buy a PS3 and 360 I think its worth it. I buy most of my games for the 360, for two reasons, one voice chat, two much better achievement system. I use my PS3 for exclusives, and games which are largely better for PS3. I also prefer the...

    Copying Large Volume Data

As people have said, storing it on a HDD is going to be the fastest route. As for which type of cord is faster, that would be firewire by a fairly large margin.

    Hypothetical BIOS Question

It should be fine if you turn it off. You wouldn't get a blue screen simply by unplugging the fan, so turning it off shouldn't either.

can i add more ram with this spec ?

You're limited to 3GB of ram while using a 32-bit operating system. So yes, you can upgrade, and it should make a noticeable difference. Just make sure you buy the right type of RAM, theres DDR, DDR2, and DDR3. My guess is that you are currently using DDR2. But make sure to double check, take...
