Is there a way in Win7 that can disable the touchpad temporarily while typing...?

My touchpad has that setting enabled by default, its funny because I'm been trying to find a way to disable it! I've been able to find my touchpad settings, but no option to enable/disable that specific feature. If you haven't already done this, go to your mouse options in your control panel...

    strange problem...

Does removing another computer from the router before putting your dell in its place still cause this problem?

    Computer won't boot....

Did he unplug the 4 pin (I believe its 4) cord running from the power supply to the motherboard near the heatsink? I believe the cord is normally a yellow and black wire. Without that plugged in a lot of motherboards will appear to power up, but wont boot.

    Considering An Apple

I'm familiar with bootcamp, I just was concerned about compatibility between my PC and Macbook. Thanks for the help.

    Considering An Apple

I have never used an Apple computer for more than 15 minutes at a time, in all honest, I don't particularly like the OS it runs. I find it too simplistic and personally fairly unattractive (At least compared to windows 7, XP was a different story). Though I am a huge, huge fan of the build...

    Free to Play Games

I haven't played it in a while, but last time I checked Battlefield Heroes was free. Its an online shooter, the only thing you have to pay for is character customization stuff I believe.

    What are you currently playing?

I've been playing a lot of racing games lately, I'm real into Need For Speed: Shift and PGR for 360 right now. I've also been playing Little Big Planet, and Uncharted off and on on my PS3.

    I7 Running hot?

That's a perfectly fine temperature to be running at. I believe they're actually fine until they reach around 80C. The cooler you run it at, the longer it'll last, so if you're concerned about the temperature a high quality CPU fan is pretty cheap.

    black/blank screen until startup

This is just a shot in the dark, but if you enter your bios, does the screen eventually power on? I believe to enter the bios on most Acer laptops is F2.

    Laptop for University

Sony Vaio E series are very comparable, while approximately $400 cheaper. I haven't personally used one, but I've heard a lot of good things about Sony laptops. I'd say its definitely worth taking a look into. Here are a few specs I ripped off some site: Approximate Battery Life - Up To 3.5...

USB still on after power turned off?

I have a Gigabyte motherboard and it leaves a few USB's running, but most of them power off. The only things that stay powered are my MP3 Player's, and my phone. The idea behind it is to keep charging your USB device batteries, but power down everything else. I don't think your USB devices...

    Buying a New Hard Drive

I bought a laptop last boxing day for $400, it isn't amazing, but I didn't need anything amazing. I travel as often as I can, and a laptop really is a must. I take lots of pictures, and a lot of videos which I try and edit while I'm out. So far this laptop has been great for what I paid for it...

    Laptop for University

I've been a big fan of the aluminum macbooks since day 1. I've never felt a laptop that felt so sturdy and well built. I guess everyone looks for something different in their laptops, but I think the main quality you should be looking for is build quality. I'm not a big fan of the Mac OS but...

Would this ipad really shatter like this?

The screen on an iPhone is similar to car windows, they don't shatter, but will crack. They're both made of other materials in combination with glass. If an iPad screen was made of nothing but glass, if you pressed on it too hard, or dropped it more than 10cm, it would smash similar to the on in...

Question on building a good Gaming pc

Is it necessary for that price? Are you asking if the price difference between buying parts and building it is much better than buying a preassembled computer? Well that depends, on a computer in the $1000 price range, I'd say the difference isn't huge, you wont be saving a whole lot of money...

    Starting a New Project

Sounds like its a good idea for me to replace both of them than. 2 USB slots recently stopped working on my motherboard which I assume is related to shotty hardware since it was a fairly cheap board. My limit I'm setting right now is about $2000, so quite a bit. I do have some parts I plan to...

    Buying Camera?

If you're looking for a fairly basic point and shoot camera that fits in your pocket I highly recommend the Powershot SD780IS. I bought it a few months ago and its probably one of the most quality purchases I've made in a long time. Theres only one problem I have with it, which is the position...

    Starting a New Project

I have been thinking about building a new computer for a while now, but have been reluctant since I recently (About a year ago) rebuilt most of it. I made a big mistake because instead of buying quality parts, I went fairly cheap. It runs most games, decently, but not flawlessly. Its using...
