Id say 250-275, specs are outdated but not horrid. That processor is where most of your money is, an X64 tends to go for 60 bucks on ebay (the 939 chipset).
Thats strange, that is infact a pc run off an AC adaptor... My best suggestion is to get a PC run off a proper PSU if you wanna upgrade stuff :P But, call asus, they know more about their junk than anyone on here does
Im starting to dive in to the relm of overclocking, and my stock case and cooling arent up to the task, anyone know where i should look? My budget is somewhere around 300, though id like to spend as little as possible for a reliable system
I had that issue, for me it was when i nuked the power supply. When i swapped my i7 in my pc it killed my PSU, and as soon as i put a new one in it worked better than ever. My suggestion to you is getting a new power supply :) I checked mine with the paperclip trick and it still spins the fan...
well, if you find a more powerful ac adaptor brick, and plug the charge lead in to it (assuming its the same connector) then in theory yes, youre rolling the dice if you can find a brick that happens to be the same, but ive done it before
i seriously need to overclock this deal, inside my VM im close to the leaderboard, i need to find a linux benchmarker or quit being a lazy ass and install windows 10 on my second hard drive
Dont get me wrong, thinkpads are amazing laptops on the inside, they have great specs for their price, but the cost is cut in the case, my old school used them and i hated them.
Again, i agree but for some reason it just isnt. Maybe the i7 was being bottle-necked by my GPU? Then it should have been closer, but thats my best guess...
