What is RAID? I get the combining hard drives to get one logical drive and redundant array of inexpensive disks but can't you just buy hard drives and put them into your computer.

If you use a laptop stick with windows. I tried to install about 7 different distros on my good spec'd acer laptop, none of them worked right. I tried to install one on a desktop and absolutely no problem. Funny thing is, the laptop is about 5 times as powerful.

If I was to set up a newsletter to send out to a mailing list or something, could I use software to make it. It would contain images, links, text and I would like it to be formatted so it wouldn't be all over the place. Is this possible without knowledge of HTTP or something like that.

Sorry, I do have the pad thing supplied with it, but still stock. If I OC would I need more adequate cooling like thermal paste or a new cpu cooler.

I might oc. I have a thermaltake 750psu and stock cpu fans and no thermal paste applied. Could I oc, if so by how much, if I can, should I disable speedstep? Thanks

I have a problem. When I get to compiling my C program (example in book) in says "gcc: installation problem, cannot exec 'cc1': No such file or directory" What I've done. I've gotten Dev-C++, installed it. Typed some stuff it says to.eg. "copy con gcc.bat" "@c:\Dev-C++\bin\gcc %1 %2 %3 %4 %5...

Thanks. I tried Dev C++. It worked for about a week on my vista computer and then stopped working. I'll try again.
