What is so special about 1080p

I have noticed this in an Apple store while trying out the new retina Mac Book. Standard raster graphics such as pictures and images tend to render quite blury which is very inconvenient compared to regular screens. Using images twice in size compared to its resize value will certainly take...

What is so special about 1080p

Who and how did the standard of 1080p begin. Why is 1080x1920 the standard for FULL HD? What is so special about that particular resolution?

Can two monitors affect the other ones quality

I see. Well what does the signal strenght depend on? My GPU is Radeon HD 7770 and so far the screens both seem to hit their full potential. I am trying to figure out whether when I unplug the analog monitor if the digital monitor improves in quality but it could be just my imagination.

Can two monitors affect the other ones quality

Hello, I hooked to my PC a new monitor via DVI and I cant figure out whether my very old VGA monitor while hooked to the same GPU as well could affect (badly) the quality of the new monitor. Is such thing possible?

    21.5 or 23.6 inches

I see. Well in that case I am convinced to buy the 23" one. The price difference is negligible.

    21.5 or 23.6 inches

So you dont think that the image quality is going to be impaired by bigger screen size while keeping 1080p resolution? To be honest I dont really understand how screen size and resolution really works because I know there are 10" laptops with 1080p while there are still 30" screens with the...

    21.5 or 23.6 inches

Thats a good point. I figured that since its not TV I am gonna be fairly close to it anyway so additional size might harm the quality

    21.5 or 23.6 inches

Hi, I am interested in this Philips monitor and I just discovered that there is a completely similar 23.6" version while this is 21.5" product. Price difference is about $25 in my local shop. And there is one odd difference that the 23.6" monitor does not have HDMI port other than that...

What is the deal with Google Analytics

It should not be. As far as I understand Google analytics, their algorithms should account for each user who has javascript enabled right. That way the statistics dont account for bots and spiders.

What is the deal with Google Analytics

Hello, well simply put Google Analytics dont make much sense to me, especially their statistics. I use this service with all of my websites no matter how small the website is. With my major website I also use my own built in analytics tool written in PHP. My point is that Google...

What temperatures do you get inside your PC

Hi, I am wondering what temperatures do you get on your vital hardware components inside your PC? I get under full load for at least 30 mins: CPU: never above 67C GPU: never above 67C - coincidence? RAM: never above 40C HDD: never above 45C MBD: never above 55C

Difference between Highend Intel and AMD CPU

What do you mean? You can use it... The new AMD GPUs come with a PCIe 3 bus

Difference between Highend Intel and AMD CPU

I believe PCIe 3 is completely backwards compatible so popping a PCIe 3 GPU card into a PCIe 2 MoBo socket wont matter. I actually have such setup right now, its working fine and I dont think the GPU is bottlenecked at all.

    Dual boot operating systems

Thats not the biggest issue, Never tried to connect two mice via usb? The issues is that two operating systems can not boot at the same time due to RAM allocation. You cant have two operating systems occupy RAM unless one of the systems is run virtually through the other system.

    A good gaming computer?

For $1000 which is enough for a decent gaming computer what you will be looking at is: 4 GB or RAM ($25 - $35) A quad AMD CPU clocked at around 3.0GHz ($150 - $175) 1GB GPU recommended from AMD as well ($150 - $190) A motherboard that is compatible with AMD CPUs ($150) 500GB hard drive ($75 -...
