failure to boot up after update BIOS

You could try hotflashing, basicly you need to have a freind with the same or similar board. You boot their board up, take out their CMOS while in MS-DOS, put your CMOS in, flash on their board, power down, than replace their chip and your's should be usable. This is kinda risky though...

failure to boot up after update BIOS

Same way you flashed it in the first place, if you can even get it to boot that is. Otherwise see if you can get a replacement CMOS from ASUS :(

    conroe or amd

What? Cutting out other factors, any two processors based on the same core will perform the same clock-for-clock. And anyway, it's just superpi, benchmarks don't say much about real world performance.

    How does this build look?

It's impossible to know, AMD is coming out with K8L in about a year, but you can't know if it's going to beat Intel's latest offerings untill it comes out. I'm sure AMD is going to have something which will beat conroe, it's just a matter of when, like you said. While it's true that Socket...

    How does this build look?

Have you considered going with a Core 2 Duo build? For the moment they've retaken AMD's grip over gaming.

That PSU will run fine, there are better ones but obviously they cost more. If you've got the cash I would invest in a better one.

Question about graphics options in games.

Now aday's most graphic cards are able to run at least some level of anisotropy. It's less of a performance impact than antialiasing. Bilinear < Trilinear < Anisotropic. Generally more because it will provide crappy performance. My GeForce 4 supported antialiasing, but it gave me crappy...

    Motherboard + Extras

No, an MCP is the chipset, which is soldered onto the board. You just need a regular graphics card. And wait a bit before you bump... as in 24 hours, not 10 minutes.

Looking for quality computer parts review site

X-Bit Labs is good, very unbiased. They also go into technical aspects of products. THG is really biased, and they don't know crap... I love how they said the X1900 had 48 pixel processors when the review first came out. Anandtech is decent IMO, I like X-Bit Labs better, but they're...

    is that OK??

Teamgroup has actually been gaining alot of popularity with OCer's lately, especially the people over at XS. They might be new to the market, but they're definetly not generic value-RAM. Those sets use D9 IC's just like alot of other high-end RAM.

    suggestion about cooling a fx-60

I wouldn't risk it... if your gonna go as far as doing that you might as well pop the whole IHS off. It's usually the heatsink you should consider lapping. The main point of lapping isn't to polish the metal, but to make it perfectly flat. Actually, you don't want to use polish, because...
