    Intel BadAxe questions

The BadAxe reads temperatures incorectly high, so don't worry about it. You might need to do a mod if your board is one of the earlier revisions: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=99298

    Case decision

If cost does not matter, the lian-li case definetly gets my pick. Looks like this case might also apeal to you, checkout the G70B.

    What Should I Do?

Wait for the X1950 to be released if you want an X1900, the 256 mb X1900XT should be in your price range. Otherwise get a 7900GT.

    Help me Build Gaming Comp.

I would try to avoid rugs, but otherwise don't worry about it too much. Just touch an unpainted area of the case every once in a while to ground yourself. The inside of the case is unpainted, so it's fine. Yes, electrostatic discharge can harm electronics even when they're off.

    which is better?

Honestly the performance difference isn't really noticable. The biggest difference is upgradibility, and that 512 mb modules used to be significantly faster. Also, like omega said, 4 souble sided DIMMS would force 2T on some platforms, although socket 939 suffered from the command rate the most.

    Hitman Blood Money... reboot issue

I think he means that since you can't come back to a save in the middel of a level once you quit, when it crashes he has to start over. And yeah, my first thought would be installing the latest patches.

    Modular Cabling Support

It means you can atach or detach cables to your PSU so that you can reduce clutter by removeing extra cables. Some people love them, some people claim it increases resistance on the conectors.

    4 or 1?

Definetly one X1900XT. I'm not even sure if quad SLi is possible with 7300GTs.

How do you tell what socket a CPU is without any manuals?

Then I'd say its socket 478.

How do you tell what socket a CPU is without any manuals?

Thats strange, because PGA478 is also a socket. Put simply, does the CPU have pins on the bottom (Pin Grid Array), or is the bottom just flat contacts (Land Grid Array)?

How do you tell what socket a CPU is without any manuals?

You've got socket 478. I think he edited his post to include that after I posted, maybe I just wasn't reading clear enough...

    Please help! gigabyte P965 - DS3!

It should work. Some motherboards (Like DFI's lanparty series) are picky about budget RAM, but techinicly, it should work. The OCZ RAM should run OK (or at least boot) a bit undervolted though.

    amd reccomendation

The price on this great board has gone down alot, any reason your not going with socket AM2 though? If your looking for something a bit lower budget, the ultra-D is basicly the same thing without SLi support: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813136152

    LookieLookieLookie

I don't believe those benchmarks. They were given by ATi. I have the feeling they twisted the facts just a little...
  18. 34erd

    Nvidia or ATI

Those benchmarks were given by ATi... they should be taken with a grain of salt (as far as I'm concerened they're flatout lieing).

New Build! Need Help! Calling all experts!! Please!!!!

Are you more into gaming or video editing? Because if your more into video editing you might want to sacrifice some GPU power for a better CPU. Yeah, I know it's video editing, but for your budget it's better to concentrate on the CPU/RAM subsystem for video editing.
