You cant find out the production stepping from CPU-Z... you need to look on the IHS, it should be printed on the second line, four numbers then four letters, then just google it and see where pople have been getting to.

Almost if not all new motherboards dont need washers. Older motherboards would have traces running where you the nut/screw would go. On newer motherboards theres usually a silver area around the hole where there are no traces, so you dont need to worry about shorting.

No... that may add to performance a bit but it doesn't make a huge difference. It hasn't, that poster was wrong. Larger cache may make higher cache latencys but it wont make a CPU with larger cache perform worse. But then a larger cache doesn't add alot to performance in its self.

The cheaper ones aren't factory OCd, but IMHO it's better to spend less on a non-OCd card which you can OC yourself to the same speeds.
