    North bridge cooler

Did you read the first post? He clearly said he may one day want SLI. That heatsink will not allow SLI.

Well, this is Thermalright. They love heatpipes.

Fresh windows install = 5min bootup time?!

Well, here's TuneXP 1.5. Also, have you installed your chipset drivers? That could possibly cause your HD problems.

    new E6600 with questions

Well, firstly, install Intel TAT. It will tell you your core temps. As long as, under full load (both cores stressed with Orthos), your core temps stay under 60C, you're ok. Once you start hitting 60C, either lower your overclock or improve your cooling.

    North bridge cooler

It's not actually that big. It's only big enough to strap a 7cm fan on (which you have to buy yourself, but the heatsink comes with zip ties for the fan).

    CPU Speed

Also, if you were to drop a hard drive and a processor off a skyscraper, the hard drive would be faster due to being denser, so there!

    new E6600 with questions

Those timings (4-4-4-15) are the settings the memory are rated to run at with the rated voltage. However, STOCK settings have to work with stock voltage (1.8V), so are usually looser.

I realy dont understand how to OC RAM

Memory speed is linked to the FSB speed via the memory divider. If the divider is set to 1:1, or 400, then the memory will run at the same speed as the FSB. Set it to 4:5, memory speed will be a fraction of the FSB (4/5); set it to 333, and the fraction will be 333/400. Look for a page in your...

Fresh windows install = 5min bootup time?!

Hmm. That is strange. Well, my only advice would be to google and install TuneXP. Open it, click 'Memory and File System'. At the bottom, click Ultra fast booting. This will instantly begin moving the boot files to the outer edge of the hard drive platter (where it moves the fastest), so make...

    new E6600 with questions

My first thought would be that the multiplier has been dropped to conserve power. However, the multiplier is usually dropped to half of the stock value, not just dropped by one, so maybe not. If you enter the BIOS, and set the multiplier to 9, that will fix it (the BIOS may have simply thought...

    memory not running at 266mhz

PC 2100 runs at 133MHz. It's advertised as running at 266MHz simply because the memory chips can transfer 2 bits per clock instead of 1 bit per clock (DDR2 transfer 4 bits per clock). So, effective speed is 266MHz.

    North bridge cooler

Well, there are cheaper options, but they're all the same. A little heatsink with or without a 4cm fan supplied.

    North bridge cooler

I would actually recommend the HR-05-SLI. It's basically a modified version of the HR-05, designed to be compatible with SLI setups.

New HD Enclosure, but drive not showing up

Yup. That's probably what he has to do. I've decided to buy a 2.5" IDE to 3.5" IDE adapter in a few days.

New HD Enclosure, but drive not showing up

Do you get any error pop-ups soon after plugging it in? The reason for my hard drive not working is USB related I think (doesnt show in Disk Management).

New HD Enclosure, but drive not showing up

I have the same problem. I think the solution is to find drivers for the enclosure.

Computer doesn't load windows xp! Please help!!

Take the harddrive, and attempt to boot your computer off the hard drive. It'll probably fail, due to having different hardware, but if Windows actually begins loading, then the problem is most likely down to the motherboard in your laptop; if nothing different at all happens, then the problem...

Yeah, sure is. Control MK. Remember to save profiles, and not to close it if you want the mappings to take effect.

    Bad Temps

You have a Core 2 Duo, so get yourself Intel TAT. A temperature-reading utility from Intel themselves. Try that first. Speedfan might not like your motherboard, and may be reading the wrong sensors. If in fact you find you your CPU is going above 65C under full load, you have a problem, as 65C...

    What's The Best Water Cooling?

The best water cooling system is one which is NOT sold as a kit. You want to buy all the different parts separately, especially the pump and CPU waterblock. And, instead of a fancy radiator, get a heatercore. Quite a lot more expensive than a high-end air cooler (I think $250+ for a decent W/C...
