That's odd. According to that site 5870 only gets 24fps And 295 only 29fps on 2560x1600. i'm on 60 fps at that res with GTX480 on stock. 5870 is only 15% slower in games exept tesselation where 480 can be twice as fast on the extreme benches.. Reviews on comp hardware is rarely acurrate. that...

5870 is better than 295.. 5770 isn't "much weaker" than 5870... GTX 480 is better than all three. it's either up or down 5% for 5770 compared to 295. OP will be just fine.

Search up the error or reinstall using the dvd's... update while you sleep.. i know how it is...pain..

1920x1080 is a much higher res. i'm not sure.. haven't played WoW since my first GTX275 Gpu before i Sli'ed it which is in my closet now... maybe you're right. I've heard a lot about driver issues in WoW with higher end Gpu's.

It's an unknown bad PSU. i'll unplug everything And only connect it to the 8-pin and 24-pin to see if it keeps staying on rather than shutting down although it won't boot propperly.. My corsair TX 950 did Power everything without shutting down when i removed the 8-pin, which is the weird part.

No doubt.. You may struggle a bit at 1920x1080 with more than 4xAA IF Shadowing is set at ultra.

No. I've tested my second CPU (E8500) Same issue. i can't RMA it.. CMOS was reset, BIOS battery and chip was removed and inserted after 15min same issue.

Make sure the drivers are 64-bit, delete the nvidia folder and run driver sweeper.. The previous driver may have left fragments scattered around in which you need to delete manually.
