Nope neither. yes, it is an envelope with a yellow asterisk in the top left corner. When i open up windows mail, yes the outlook replacement, they appear to be the same, and if i have a new email it appears near the clock but doesnt go away for like 3 hrs, even if i delete or close out mail.

If its not too much trouble i would advise to delete the partition. Pop in your XP cd and then select the second option (run off disk) then get to the c prompt and type in Fdisk, go through all the options and delete all the partitions you see then restart and XP should reformat the drive for you.
