    Cheap Desktop.

That is exactly what I posted above your reply (sans the DVD rom and CD because those are found in the trash now a days). If you wanted you could upgrade the celeron to a PD (108$) and downgrade the Gfx card to an Nvidia MX4000 (32$) but that card is the absolute low end of 128Mb cards.

dont know what i should do

It's honestly not that hard and there is no real way you can screw it up unless you force a piece where it's not supposed to go (everything only fits in a single spot so there's no way you can really do that). But if you really ARE too afraid to build your own PC you can always go to a local...

new dell xps 700. good buy?

Definately look into another company building the machine for you if for some reason your dad is strictly convinced that you can't do it yourself (even with the help of BUILDING COMPUTERS 101) or try and convince him to buy a machine from a local computer tech shop (they will order the parts and...

    Recent Cleanup

Yes, temp drops would be the biggest performance increase you'll notice, as well as your ability to breath in your room with the PC on :p

I really need help on PSU & VIDEO CARD !

None of the high end PCIe cards are fine with running on that PSU. I would even be scared running my machine off it with the +12 being only 15A. If anything spend the 50$ to get a nice PSU (PSU 101) and then buy whatever graphics card you want.

QUESTIONS 101 Reset the BIOS and reboot it (you'll need to go into the BIOS and save the new settings after the reset).

    WTB: Cheap laptop

Got mine I'm trying to get rid of. Compaq E500 866 PIII, 11Gb, DVD, 256 (soon to be 512) PC-133, 15" (I believe), wireless PCMCIA card. Only thing really wrong with it is the battery holds 0 charge, so you'd need to use the adapter (or buy a new battery).

Holy crap, advanced like hell HTPC

The voodoo cards can only be SLI'ed to other voodoo's of the exact same. What you see is probably the TV tuner connected to the DVD decoder (which is needed in old machines like that).

    Driver_irql_not_less_or_equal

Yes it can sometimes be a RAM problem, might wanna run memtest86 once to be safe (even if you think it don't need it).

    Connectors

Those are just molex converters to use them with a SATA drive (either HDD or CD).

    remote desktop control

Haven't tried it and it sounds vaguely illegal. Since you can only have one user logged on at one time I'm sure it will give you some sort of no-no.

    r.a.i.d?

You don't have to have RAID to have more than 1 HDD.
