Both have been uninstalled. McAfee was actually one of the first things I uninstalled. Just now, I had to hunt it down. It wasn't showing up in the start menu, the uninstall tool, and even in CCleaner. went to C:/Prog/Mcafee... Any other suggestions? the computer is faster for sure, but still...

I wound up going from the original location, yes.

looks to be clear. although when i copied it to the desktop (easier to find and upload) Avast popped up and said it was a virus and locked it down (just the desktop location though)...

FYI, i've gone ahead and downloaded TDSSKILLER and ASWMBR. I have not ran them yet, or before, so i'll wait for word / suggestions from someone much more knowledgeable that myself.
