John, with regards to Java, (honestly don't know), why uninstall it? Doesn't Java Update deal with that, or does it simply put a standalone installation next to it, leaving a vulnerability?
 
Version 6 didn't actually uninstall the prior update before the new update was installed. Except I believe after update 25 I want to say. But once Version 7 is installed, it will update to the latest version. I think i've seen up to 5 different versions of java installed at the same time.
 
Both have been uninstalled.

McAfee was actually one of the first things I uninstalled. Just now, I had to hunt it down. It wasn't showing up in the start menu, the uninstall tool, and even in CCleaner. went to C:/Prog/Mcafee...

Any other suggestions? the computer is faster for sure, but still having the wifi network show "limited" connectivity after sitting idle for a while.
 
Ok, well the computer is running MUCH better, I'm able to browse the internet with out hickups, or SSL issues. So I'm going to Call it good and chalk another one in the WIN column.
