Damn, gotcha. So I need to stick with Blu-Rays. I seriously hope when Blu-Rays and physical media become obsolete that digital and streaming media keep the same file size/quality as BluRay and doesn't compress it.
Well it depends. How many times can you erase or delete movies from the drive and put new movies on it before it loses functionality? If this is not a problem I will be ok w 64 GB and just store all of the movies on my desktop and transfer them when I want to watch them.
Rogjt
Right but I feel like that is a huge convenience being able to quickly transfer them when I want to watch a movie. The cheap drive I have now feels like it takes forever.
How many 1080p movies will it hold? I'm considering the Sandisk Extreme for its high speed but the biggest version they make is 64 GB. Is there a drive of equal speed and quality that is available in 128? Thanks!
Nice, thx. Is that the best brand/model, and will the transfer speeds be the same with the Sandisk Extreme as they would with a newer comp w stock 3.0 ports?
Also, is it difficult to install and do they make an external one?
Damn, that's way slower than 3.0. Is it possible to upgrade my USB ports of is it possible a 10 year old Dell could have 3.0 if it was top of the line?
Did that, and PNY got thousands of reviews averaging 4.7/5 stars but I've read in multiple tech forums that they are garbage. I'm looking for a good quality one w good design and high speed.
I don't think they make the extreme in a 128 GB. Are there any other models you recommend besides the Kingston? Not a huge fan of the design, not to sound shallow lol.
