2 gigs is the max my machine can handle anyways. Though xp runs good on 1 gb, i might switch to vista eventually. Used to have it on, but switched back to xp. Also, stuff like autodesk software takes more memory. Thanks for the replys

if it came w/ a recovery disk, I would back up your data and do the recovery. That is, setting your computer back to its out of box state. CCleaner is great, but you could also look at glary utilities. It has the same features as CCleaner, plus quite a bit of extra stuff.
