It's vista. Atitool .27beta 2 only allows for the artifact scanning in vista. If you want to overclock on vista with an nvidia card, use rivatuner or ntune. After you set your clocks, just have atitool to do the artifact scanning. I'm at 690/1040 stable without raising the voltage thanks to...

I'm not a fool. I know that...Anything over 5 minutes of heat testing will reveal the max temperature that anything is going to get to. A rule of thumb is to let a computer sit for 20 minutes to find an accurate idle temp, which I did.

buying another fan wasn't an option. I simply switched A and B and after temperature tests using orthos and atitool, my cpu and gpu temps dropped 5C under load and 8C idle.

lol. They're all 120mm in size. The white one is 110cfm, and the front one is 60cfm. I just wanted to know whether to put the one that pushes more air in the front of the case or on the heatsink. EDIT: and if you writing "110mm" was simply a typo and you meant 110cfm, do you mean that I should...

So, I have 5 120mm fans in my case, (Antec P180B), and my core temps hover around 45C each (this isn't good or bad, it's good considering the 600mhz overclock) for my cpu, but when i push my gpu to 700/1050, the temperature rockets to 78C, (which, once again I know this isn't that bad for a gpu...

Under load, 84C should be approximately the MAXIMUM temperature your card should go. If you're checking after running ati tool's artifact scanner or max core/mem finder, don't worry about it. If that's idle...worry. For a comparison, mine gets to 79C if I run the artifact scanner for 15 minutes...

just curious...why? doesn't that defeat the purpose of getting a microatx mobo?

since it will be closed and you can ignore the sound/lights, get an antec 900. They generally go from $70-$100, have amazing cooling, and are spacious enough =D

I've overclocked my 8800gts to 610/915, and increased the fan speed from 60% to 90%...while the temp has dropped, I'm curious as to any foreseeable problems this might cause..I'm only worried because I've been wondering why PNY, (or nvidia, seeing as how every 8800gts fan is at 60%), would leave...

oh lol. I did some research on it. Apple apparently holds the patent and charges money for every firewire device made...This, however, excludes certain 1394 connections which are the same speed as firewire, which is why you still see it on digital camcorders and almost all laptops today...

did you try opening your computer to see if it's spinning? chances are, speedfan isn't reading an rpm because your fan doesn't support that feature... For instance, take a look at the rpm mine reads >_>:
