it was working perfectly fine the previous day. alright. so lets say i get a new hdd and slave this one. how would i go abt doing it? like into the bios and select this one as slave? and then what?

when i boot up my computer, it keeps on getting stuck on starting windows screen. nothing happens after that. even when i prerss ctrl alt del. nothing works! what is going on!!
waited for a bit and there was a promt saying that hdd SMART, status bad, back up and replace or something like...
i did some changes to it and now what exactly happens is that everytime i click on start windows normally, it turns off. do i have to do something to the bios or something before i start the computer up?
im sorry, now im dealing with my own built computer. it has a biostar mobo. i plugged in all the cable but i didnt put in the graphic card. when i turn the switch on, the system runs for a while but it turns off by itself.
its a pre built one. the button isnt stuck. its green colour when its on and just blank when its off. psu is alright. cooling was alright (i felt it and it was normal). its a desktop. its pretty clean.
i heard something about the reset button or something. what is that abt?
the hard drive is actually not that bad, its a seagate 120gb 7200 sata. and yeah its a pentium 4. im a little confused about pci cards, could u suggest some to get for a just above average office and movie watching desktop.

if it is not integrated means u can change it to a better one?
