Alright, so my friends looking at getting a PC around (or after) Christmas. He has about £500 to spend on it.

He already knows that he want a HD4850 (or 4870?) in there, and maybe the option to CF them in the future.

I know you guys can build a bad-ass rig, so fire away! ;)

    Thanks!

P.S. I guess the 15% VAT couldn't have come at a better time, Eh!

    Thanks, Omar! :)

He said he really wants a 4850 though, I wonder if there's anything we could substitute?

Good choice on the PSU and HSF! :p

Go to ebuyer should be cheaper!?
    Approx £500

    Q6600
    Gigabyte GA-EP43-S3L
    Corsair 4GB Kit (2x2GB) DDR2 800 CL5
    ASUS HD 4850 512MB DDR3
    Seagate ST3250410AS 250GB
    LG GH22NS30
    Antec Basiq Power 500W
    Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro
    Cheap case, say £20

If OS needed, downgrade CPU and heatsink, and get E7300 with OS

I went to ebuyer and daisy's right. It is a bit cheaper so I took all his suggestions and they added up to ~£480 (no case picked) if you add a nice case,it'd probably be around £520

    you know... :D
