hi guys,

I have a kodak esp5 connected to mey desktop via usb and works perfect on windows 7. i am trying to connect to it my laptop, all are connected to the the network and my laptop sees it but cannot connect, gives error number 0x0000000d. Laptop also has windows 7

Does anyone have a fix for this, thanks in advance.

Chris

Is that an 0xD1 error (I saw no 1)? If so these are usually caused by faulty drivers. I am not sure CF allows the attachment of Minidump Files but if it does give us your 5 most recent in your next post. Use the Manage Attachment button. You can zip them together in one file.

No, the number is 0x0000000d, it comes up in a google search and it sounds like a common problem, i have tried a couple of fixes but to no avail.

thanks for the reply

Try these steps and check if it helps:

1. Go to start and type in cmd in the search box.

2. Right click on cmd and select “Run as Administrator”.

3. Type this command net use LPT# \\server\printer /persistent:yes

Substitute #, server, printer as appropriate for your network.

Then add your printer locally using the LPT# port. If your laptop has no parallel cable then use LPT1.

have you installed the drivers for your printer on the computers that are not physicaly attached to the printer? do so, and make sure that the computer that is physicaly attached to the printer, that the firewall is enabled and that security center is turned on as well. make sure that the printer is shared by checking its properties, and then go to the other computer and click on the pc connected to the printer. you should see the printer, right click it and select connect. make sure it set to your default printer, and you should be good to go. you may have to reboot all computers to finalize it all. let us know if this worked, or if you need a walk through on how to do it all
