1 24" or 2 20"?

I'm in the market to buy a new monitor. I really like the Dell wide aspect screens. The 20 inchers are on sale for $448 shipped. The 24 incher is close to $800. Now, I'm wondering why would I buy a 24 inch monitor when I can get two 20 inchers and have a total of 40 inches of real estate? To me another $100 dollars for that much more screen is well worth it. My vid card supports two dvi inputs so we're good to go with dual monitor support. Any suggestions or comments I'd really appreciate it.

Id personally go for the 2 20 inch screens, i cant see that 4 inches would beat 2 screens. But thats just me :)

i agree jus tget the two 20 inchers. that would be sick!!

It does also depend on what you're using it for. The gap between the monitors can be a pain in gaming, and running the dual monitors would also stress your GPU (in gaming, or other GPU related tasks) more than one monitor.

In general i'd agree though. For work related tasks in particular, 2*20" would be great.

What type of dual monitor setup do you have it in? I like my dual monitor setup, but they are different sizes so it's difficult sometimes :D

I just put them side by side. If that's what you mean.

yea, unless all u do is play games...
if that is baisically the purpose of ur computer is to play games i would get 1 24"...

otherwise 2 20"

I still couldn't see spending the same amount for a 24" even if all I did was play games. It's just not feasible especially after seeing the results.
