july 22, yes it drop to like 266$ for the Q6600, etc, probably around august for the 8800 but dunno

the QX6800 won't drop anything, it'll be set to 970$ as the QX6700 is as right now, the QX6700 will drop to like 530$

Already dropped the 8800's by about $90, right after the ATI release. the Quads are dropping on July 22 for sure.

You mean Q6700 will drop to like 530$

There will be a newer processor called Q6700 (not QX6700) on July 22, this one will consume less power, but will not have unlocked multipliers like QX6700

The Q6600 performs just the same in gaming as the E6600 does now, which is excellent. They probably mean that no games out yet take advantage of quad-cores. But they are still excellent for gaming.
