alright...so my corsair gs 800 took a dive,.....i had 2x 3tb drives. the 1st 3tb drive had nothing but movies...the 2nd had movies and software installs...well windows media player plays all the movies fine and reads installs fine in drive 2 but hangs on all the movies on drive 1. so i install arcsoft media theatre player and the player playes the movies fine on both drives....whats going on?

The PSU should not have had anything to do with you being able to play video ,If it had been WMp that could play tye files i would have said Codex issue , but since it can , i suppose my only question would be why are you wanting to fix WMP personally i use VLC media player to play all files on PC , and if im streaming to TV i use tversity and ps3 media player

It depends on what formats you are trying to play, windows media player is totally pointless only plays basic formats like, wmv or avi.

The best 2 free media players are, vlc media player 2.0, or real player 15

that still dont answer my question....the formates are dvd format ad in .vob files....i rio my dvd's onto my HDD....they hav always played on WMP....now one hard drive does, and the other doesnt....any more explanations.?thanks

You could try changing the lagging drive to a different sata port, also try running your drive manufacturers diagnostic tools to make sure it is not a sign your drive is about to die.

Thankyou for the corrections Kion ,

And what a wonderful contribution to the board you have made correcting me , so glad your onboard .

so it seems that if i name the folder that i keep all them in (DVDs #-M)...it wont play them...which it did before my psu took a dive...so i renamed the folder (DVDs), and the hard drive its on is now named (DVDs #-M), and it works fine. dont know why, but its all good now.
