.1 Voltage difference an issue?

There are issues that come up ocassionally when you try to use DDR2-800 memory in certain motherboards. Because the memory requires significantly higher voltages, it may not post when you try booting up.

Some new RAM today comes with the ability to downclock if it detects that it doesnt have enough voltage.
 
If it doesn't boot with 2 1.9V sticks, try using just 1 stick and bumping the voltage to 1.9V and then try 2.
 
I seriously doubt that the RAM will fail to post, given it only requires 1.9V. Go into the BIOS and bump up VDimm. Not many precautions to take, as the RAM is designed and warranted to work at 1.9V.
 
It can happen, a lot of 965 boards will not boot with the initial shipping BIOS with RAM that requires overvolting.
 
Only seem to hear of these problems with people running cheap OCZ ram that requires a good .1-.2 volts more then Corsair and the higher quality st uff. At worse you'll have to run down to Best Buy, buy a cheap DDR2533 1.8v stick and pop it in to reset teh bios to a higher voltage.

That said, I don't think I've ever seen on any forums (CF, EOC, XS) anybody ever having problems with corsair not booting because of voltage.

That said, save yourself the trouble and get either a Gigabyte DS3, or an AsusP5-whatever instead of that. It looks like MSI didn't do its homework on that board anyways and is still sorting out its issues. The DS3 is great, its only downside that I think you might be looking for is perhaps its raid?That's about the only thing I can see. Reading reviews has me convinced that the DS3 is the way to go unless you need more "advanced" features of 200+ dollar motherboards. But, they're worth it too.
