Ok.. I'm not up on my TV tech, because I actually hate TV with a passion, but I've been starting to watch some movies on my computer and I want to figure this out.

I have this fancy dancy Explorer 8300 PVR thing that I have no idea how to use, an ATI TV Wonder Pro w/ Remote, LG l204WT monitor and Asus X800 Pro VGA card. If it matters, I have an SB Audigy 2 something or other.

I want to get the higher resolutions onto the screen, and I don't have the time to screw around with it and figure it out (another problem seems to be consuming me with this thing).

Can anyone help me configure this for the high resolutions? Thanks.

$599?!?!?!?! Does it come with a free ounce of weed? Holy cow! I haven't sold one of those yet, so I haven't even priced one out. That's insane. I think I'll live with what I have. Thanks guy.

Is there a way to tweak the resolutions with what I have so that I can leave the screen at 1600 x 1050 and still view DVD full screen?

What program are you using? My nero showtime I can change the aspect to match my 1680x1050 or I can force it to go full screen. Power DVD did the same for me when I used it.

Yeah, HD-DVD is definitely cheaper, remember Sony's taking a hit on every PS3, mainly because of the BR drive that's in the things...
