1080P Ps3 games?

Hi all

I have a 55 inch 1080p teli

I noticed that Modern Warfare 2 runs 1920x1080 but uncharted 2 runs 1280x720 but they both say 1080p on the back

whats the deal

i think that if the game has AA they get to bump up the perceived resolution a bit, xbox games are 600p with AA
this is what pc gaming is for

My copy of Uncharted 2 says 720p on the back... It lists all the possible resolutions and then has 720p highlighted.

Not always, but for the majority of games you are correct. Most games are at 720p or lower, not at the "native" 1080p.

THe only game I know of being native 1080p is Wipeout HD

yes you were correct, instead of telling the outputs on the back like most my game it highlites 720 p, yeah only a handful of native 1080p games... thx for the responses
