Because i could not edit and add a Poll to my other thread,I had to start a new one.

Im after a new LGA 1156 Cooler...My budget is £30 (can go to £40) if the cooler is impressive enough.
I do also plan on Overclocking to at least 3.6Ghz so it needs to be able to cope with that also.

Ive narrowed it down to the following.

ZALMAN CNPS 9700 NT £31.82

Not direct heatpipe on the base

Akasa Venom £33.75 (Can get this cooler for £21 elsewhere)

Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus£23.31

Xigmatek Achilles HDT£24.21

Please vote, and say why you would choose that cooler :)

Appreciate the help guys,I just want to get my rig back together!!!

I voted other. I'd say it's a tossup between the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus and the Xigmatek Achilles HDT. According to Frostytech the Hyper 212 Plus is about 3°C cooler with a heat load of 150W, but 7.4dB louder than the S1284 Achilles with the fans on high. I assume the second entry for the Hyper 212 Plus is with fans set to low, in which case the difference in noise is 3.2dB louder and in temperature is 0.6°C cooler. The Hyper 212 Plus is a bit cheaper as well, so it depends on what you prefer, performance or silence.

Arghh its driving me mad looking at all these diffrent coolers,Next day shipping put the price up alot aswell :/

I cant believe nobody in the UK stocks the 1156 bracket for my Tuniq tower,Yet its available pretty much anywhere in the US...so annoying.

Right,I dont think any of those coolers would have out perform my Tuniq Tower 120 Extreme and i would not be happy about that so thought wth....i just ordered a CoolIT ECO CPU Water cooling kit.

From what ive read its quite impressive...and outperforms the Corsair H50.
