128mb ddr pc2100?

yeah, I just got a free RAM card from my boss at work today, and looking to install it in my desktop. I have an HP Pavilion Slimline s7600n PC. I know that my PC takes PC2-5300 RAM but my boss said that it's the same thing and that it should work. So I'm wondering if it would make a difference, or if trying it once would harm my computer? I know this sounds almost senseless putting in a measly 128MB RAM, but this computer can barely run anything. This would just be a quick fix, if you will, to let me run more than one thing at once.
Also, the part number on the RAM is M368L1713DTL-CB0
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

SDRAM-168 contacts
DDR-184 contacts
DDR2-240 contacts
DDR3-240 contacts

DDR2 and DDR3 have there spacer in different places so you cant put it in the wrong slots.

I only posted that because voyager made a typo saying that DDR was 184 and DDR was 240 but I knew he meant DDR2 :D but he changed post :(
