12V Rails-what are they? Help and please explain!

Hi, I have been reading lately, and it apperas that the more 12V rails the better. Now, what exactly is/does the 12V Rail do? thanks

No, it's not the more +12V rails the better. In fact, you are better off having a single higher amperage +12V rail then for instance 4x +12V rails. Single rails are more efficient.
