1394 not installed but detected

i have just built a new computer. i have checked a milion times and have not attached a 1394 firewire or anything, i dont have one. it shows up in network connections and device manager. i can ignore it but want to make sure it cant do damage.

that always shows, you can delete teh connection if you want, but by default it will show up. just ignore it, it isnt doing anything. its there for adhoc

thanks for your reply. is it like the gateway? cause i used to have a dlink router/modem/gateway and it sometimes showd up. now i switched to a netgear one and this appeared.

Thank you for your reply. its my mistake. my new mobo actually has a 1394 port on the back. i didnt realise. lol anyway thanx for the reply
