14 years old and need help

Hi, I'm trying to build my own computer to save some money and have the option of picking every components individually. I have about $700 saved up and want a gaming comp, can anyone recommend some video cards, processors, and ram that are suitable for hardcore gaming while keeping the price to a minimum?

P.S. I am just starting this so I am a noob.

I think you could get away with a cheaper case for this build, Antec 300 perhaps, or NZXT Beta Evo; while the CM690 II is awesome, it's $80 before the massive shipping they have on it.


I'd wait until Intel releases Sandy bridge (new line of CPUs) on the 9th Jan, if the processors are well-received then get one within budget, if not, then Intel are keeping LGA1156 as its "budget" range, grab an i3 when the prices fall, they are already slipping. What type of gaming do you do? If it's more FPS then I'd go with an i3, more RTS/Simulator and I'd go with the Phenom II that Linkin posted.
If you "cheaped out" on the PSU and case, maybe still some fairly high quality stuff, Antec 300 and OCZ ModXStream Pro 600W (Modular, $44 @ newegg atm) then you could afford an i5-760, which is much better than Phenom II for gaming
