1440 x 900 Resolution on SiS 760

I recently got a new HP w1907 monitor, which has a 1440 x 900 native resolution. My computer however, won't allow me to choose that resolution. I updated the BIOS on the HP website (I am using a hp pavillion a810n) and I also updated the UniVGA 3 to 3.84 and 3.85. This gave me far more resolution options, but 1440 x 900 wasn't one of them.

What can I do? Surely this computer must be capable of displaying such a resolution.

512 MB DDR SDRAM
SiS 760 / 128 mb Shared Graphics Memory

It sounds to me like you'll need a cheap graphics card.

That GeForce FX5200 for $29.99 with easily produce the 1440x900 screen resolution required. And it is compatible with your computer.

I've heard that I have a sspecial card though that is somehow connected to the motherboard. Unlike just having some old graphics card, I don't know if this thing can easily be located and replaced with a more orthodox card like an nVidia Geforce.

Also, the person in this link seems to have had a very similar problem to mine. Unfortunately, I cannot figure out how to complete that task for myself.
