Well yes, I guess, because for example, my brother's laptop takes more passes-of-the-bar, but it still gets to the full screen much faster than my desktop after that. As far as SCSI, you still have to supply drivers for many of the new ones, rember "Press F6 to install SCSI or RAID drivers".
