It really depends on what you are doing though, but at this point in time I dont think that there is very much of anything that you would be privately doing that would utilize anything close to that. In the not so distant future however, it will be utilized. 10 years ago 512mbs of ram was a lot
This particular mobo says that it supports DDR2 1333 memory (GA-EP45-UD3P). I can't find 1333 in DDR2. Is it a typo? Will DDR2 1066 work in its place?
A CPU with 32bit memory addresses has 2^32 bits available for integers
A CPU with 64bit memory addresses has 2^64 bits available for integers
2^32 = 4294967296
so a 32bit CPU can handle 4GB of ram
2^64 = 18446744073709551616
so a 64bit CPU could theoretically handle roughly 18 exabytes of RAM
32 bit only recongizes 3GB max not 4GB
im using a 32 bit OS with a laptop that has 4GB RAM yet it only recongizes 3GB.
Running virtual PC's also might hit the 16gb mark, depending how many you run.
well im looking at my CPU usage now .. Total 3065MB, but the total should say 4000MB?
