19" Widescreen, Benefits?

Hi,

I'm considering buying either a 19" Widescreen tft or a normal 19" tft monitor.

I was wondering if there was any pros or cons to having either of them?

Which one would you recomend?

Many games do not have native widescreen resolutions...

I think a wide screen is a little more natural than the 5:3 that is my computer monitor at home. Plus, you can have documents side by side. I think wide support for widescreen monitors is soon to come. [No pun intended].

So, some games wont be able to run in widescreen, So I'd be left with black edges on the sides?

Or, the image would be stretched to fit your screen. Either way is less than ideal.

I use a standard 19" LCD, so it can't be that bad

Awesome, thanks for the help... I've got a 17" CRT, I know they have great colour but they're huge!
